Why is the free tier so generous?
The mission is to get more people using MFA. Security gates work against that. 50 factors covers the vast majority of personal users. Pro exists for the power users who need more.
What happens when I hit 50 factors?
Your existing factors keep working. You'll see a prompt to upgrade to Pro if you want to add more. No lockout, no countdown.
Why annual billing only?
Annual billing keeps transaction costs low so we can keep the free tier generous. At $24/year ($2/month), monthly billing would eat a disproportionate amount in payment processing fees.
Is Locked Vault really free?
Yes. Both Cloud Vault and Locked Vault (zero-trust, you hold the keys) are free for all users. FactorCat never charges for security.
What's the Supporter tier?
A voluntary contribution to help sustain FactorCat. You get a second Cloud Vault, FactorCat Backup, and limited anonymous link sharing. It helps cover cloud storage, push notifications, and ongoing development.
What is FactorCat Backup?

What does "anonymous link sharing" mean?
Share a TOTP code with someone who doesn't have a FactorCat account. They open a link, request the code, and you approve it from your phone. No signup required on their end.
